About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Finisher to join our team at Bold Construction & Renovations Inc. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster to ensure a high-quality finish.
  • Clean and prepare surfaces to ensure a smooth application process.
  • Cure freshly plastered surfaces to achieve the desired finish.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in the finish coat, if required.
  • Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency.
  • Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices and trim to add a touch of elegance to our projects.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow the coat to dry.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound.
  • Work at heights on scaffolding or swing stages to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in the trade is preferred.
  • Ability to work at heights and in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with our team and clients.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks.
