About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team at Square Mile Development Inc. as a Construction Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, conducting pre-operational checks, and performing minor repairs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Heavy Equipment: Safely operate heavy equipment such as cranes, excavators, and bulldozers to perform various construction tasks.
  • Conduct Pre-Operational Checks: Conduct thorough pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Perform Minor Repairs: Perform minor repairs and maintenance on equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Clean and Lubricate Equipment: Clean and lubricate equipment regularly to maintain its efficiency and extend its lifespan.
  • Assist with Site Operations: Assist with site operations, including setting up and tearing down equipment, and ensuring a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in heavy equipment operation.
  • Work Site Environment: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding role requiring attention to detail and ability to lift heavy objects.
