Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner.
  • Mountain Driving: Demonstrate expertise in driving on mountainous terrain.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods, ensuring they are properly secured and protected.
  • International Transportation: Obtain necessary permits and documents to transport cargo on international routes.
  • Teamwork: Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, working collaboratively to ensure safe and efficient transportation.
  • Emergency Response: Perform emergency roadside repairs and respond to unexpected situations.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform regular preventive maintenance to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring seamless communication.
  • Cargo Management: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Cargo Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo, including tarping and handling dangerous goods.
Requirements
  • Certifications: AZ class license, Air Brakes Endorsement, Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, and Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Environment: On-the-road job with a permanent position.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
