Job Title: ECE Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring ECE Assistant to join our team at View Royal Childcare Ltd. As an ECE Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our childcare centre and contributing to the development of our young learners.

Job Summary:

The ECE Assistant will assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This includes assisting co-workers in housekeeping and cooking duties, bathing, diapering, and feeding infants and toddlers, maintaining daycare equipment, and encouraging children to express creativity through various activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist early childhood educators in implementing programs that promote child development
  • Support co-workers in maintaining a clean and safe environment
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers
  • Maintain daycare equipment and supplies
  • Encourage children to engage in creative activities
  • Assist with meal preparation and snack time
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and report to early childhood educators or supervisors
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss child progress and address any concerns
Requirements:
  • Child Development Assistant (ECE Level 1) certification
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Criminal record check and immunization records
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of energy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and community service providers
