The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Chemist to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze samples, maintaining accurate documentation and records of analysis.
  • Develop and maintain standards and masters for bulk and finished goods.
  • Perform instrumental and wet chemistry tasks, operating lab instrumentation as required.
  • Perform general maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
  • Troubleshoot instrumentation and method problems, recommending solutions.
  • Interpret and document test results, calculations, and observations, completing comprehensive reports as required.
  • Coordinate Out of Specs analytical test results, conducting investigations and completing OOS Analytical Test reports.
  • Initiate NCRs for non-conforming materials, distributing to concerned personnel and contacting suppliers as needed.
  • Maintain detailed records of test results, collecting data for future specs establishment and initiating specs development/modification as required.
  • Monitor inventory of lab supplies and reagents, ensuring availability for analysis.
  • Perform compatibility testing of new formulations and packaging components.
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety standards, SOPs, GMP, GLP, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • BSc in Chemistry (preferably)
  • Excellent computer skills, with a good knowledge of Excel
  • Detail-oriented, with exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to work independently or within a team environment
  • Exercise good judgment in manufacturing decisions
