About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bakery Assistant to join our team at Portofino Bakery Ltd. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of baked goods and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Baking: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards.
  • Machinery Operation: Operate machinery as required.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Setting: Bake shop environment.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
