About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to work with a highly collaborative team and contribute to the growth and success of our brand. As a Personal Finance Editor, you will be responsible for editing and updating long-form content to improve reader experience and follow SEO best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Optimize existing content to meet SEO, compliance, and content quality goals
- Analyze page performance metrics to make strategic decisions on how to optimize content for quality and conversion
- Create new content briefs and edit stories
- Demonstrate strong editorial judgment and topical expertise across personal finance topics
- Work closely with freelance writers to deliver high-quality content
- Ensure all content adheres to our style, sourcing, and compliance guidelines
- Collaborate with the Editorial Team to improve knowledge and skills
- Stay up-to-date with SEO best practices and bring knowledge back to the team
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a digital editor role
- Passion for creating high-quality, high-performance content
- Expertise in personal finance and familiarity with compliance
- Ability to work independently and make decisions
- Experience working within a CMS (WordPress, Drupal, etc.)
- Experience mentoring writers and editors
- Experience with Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Asana (or Airtable or Trello)
- Clear understanding of search engine optimization
- Basic knowledge of HTML is a plus
