CV Library is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to oversee a significant Renewable Hydrogen initiative within our client's Major Projects division. This role is essential for guiding the project through its various phases and ensuring technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Leadership: Assume responsibility for all Electrical Engineering tasks, directing the preparation of project deliverables while supervising and allocating resources effectively.
- Problem Solving: Formulate solutions for complex and high-profile technical challenges, collaborating with senior engineers and management to ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
- Quality Assurance: Supervise and review Electrical Engineering activities, including specifications, schedules, and technical documentation, ensuring adherence to project standards.
- Discrepancy Resolution: Identify and address any discrepancies from the original project proposal by engaging with clients and project teams.
- Factory Acceptance Tests: Participate in and contribute to Factory Acceptance Tests, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
- Multi-Discipline Collaboration: Engage in Engineering Design Reviews, providing necessary Electrical Engineering insights to facilitate action closures.
- Project Planning: Plan and schedule Electrical Engineering activities, quantifying deliverables and resource allocation while providing project management with regular updates.
- Procurement Support: Assist the procurement team by preparing technical requisitions and evaluating vendor documentation to ensure design compliance.
- Documentation Management: Maintain and control all Electrical Engineering technical documentation, ensuring it is up-to-date and accessible.
- Standards Compliance: Ensure all engineering practices align with British and international standards relevant to the Process & Energy sector.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 10 years of general engineering experience, with at least 7 years dedicated to the Process & Energy sector, focusing on both design office and field engineering. Experience in the design and commissioning of HV and LV electrical systems is essential.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in databases, spreadsheets, and engineering design software, are required. Additionally, candidates should have a solid understanding of quality assurance processes and regulatory requirements.
