About the Role

VIVRS is seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Employment Services Specialist. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in the employment services industry while working with a diverse and inclusive company that supports employers in creating a more diverse and inclusive workplace.

As an Employment Services Specialist, you will be responsible for building relationships with employers, clients, and community partners to connect clients with paid employment opportunities. This includes negotiating interviews, accommodations, and job carving to meet the needs of both the client and the employer.

You will work closely with our multi-disciplinary team to:

  1. Arrange work experience placements to introduce clients to employers and assess their workplace skills.
  2. Negotiate employment opportunities for clients, creating new jobs or modifying existing positions to support client success and employer benefit.
  3. Issue financial supports to ensure on-the-job success.
  4. Provide onsite support through job coaching to ensure individuals meet their full potential.
  5. Find creative ways to help individuals retain employment for 52 weeks of follow-up.
  6. Manage a caseload, including case administration, case notes, and case contacts.

Requirements

  • Relevant education and experience demonstrating ability to work with diverse populations, specifically people with disabilities.
  • Previous work with clients experiencing mental health challenges.
  • Experience in direct sales or business networking.
  • Knowledge of Labour Market and local trends.
  • Preferred: Working towards or holding professional designation such as CCDP, RRP, etc.
