Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our team at Smart & Biggar. As a key member of our quality assurance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality in our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of quality assurance technicians to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to minimize defects and improve product quality.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues and implement process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain quality metrics and reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide training and coaching to quality assurance technicians to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory requirements to ensure our quality assurance processes are compliant and effective.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as science, food science, or chemistry.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a quality assurance or quality control role in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of supervisory or managerial experience, with a proven track record of leading and developing a team.
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and processes, as well as regulatory requirements in the food industry.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and coach a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and generate insights.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and quality management systems.
