About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at Makka Halal Meats and Grocery. As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for preparing and cutting meats to meet the high standards of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cutting and Preparing Meats: Cut carcasses, sides, and quarters to prepare for processing or cutting.
  • Meat Preparation: Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers, cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat.
  • Wrapping and Packaging: Wrap and package prepared meats for sale.
  • Meat Handling: Remove bones from meat, weigh meats for sale, and price meat products.
  • Sales and Customer Service: Sell meats to customers and provide excellent customer service.
  • Display Preparation: Prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset.
  • Work Setting: Supermarket/grocery store environment.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, attention to detail, physically demanding, handling heavy loads, and hand-eye coordination.
