Job Title: Senior Data Governance W/M

At Aviva, we're committed to building a culture of excellence in data governance. As a Senior Data Governance W/M, you'll play a critical role in shaping our data governance strategy and ensuring the effective use of data across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance framework that aligns with Aviva's business objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate data risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the development of data standards and policies, ensuring consistency across the organization.
  • Work with IT and data owners to build a compelling strategy for improving data standards and practices.
  • Grow data literacy and maturity across the organization through effective communication and training.
  • Monitor and maintain data risks and controls, ensuring existing risks are within tolerance and emerging risks are understood.
  • Communicate data governance activity, risks, and issues to senior leaders through the Operational Risk Forum and Conduct Committee.
Requirements:
  • 15+ years of experience in data management and data governance, with a strong background in risk and controls.
  • Deep technical leadership experience and a validated understanding of data and technology concepts.
  • Demonstrable experience in leading data governance and risk functions within large organizations.
  • Experience in a complex, multi-functional organization with a strong focus on collaboration and integration.
