Job Title: DevOps Engineer

AZAD Technology Partners is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team in Deerfield, IL. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our applications and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Plan and execute application migration activities to modernize our technology stack.
  2. Provide regular status updates to senior leadership to ensure transparency and accountability.
  3. Collaborate with Operations to define, practice, and execute migration plans that minimize downtime and disruption.
  4. Work closely with developers and R&D leadership to identify and mitigate potential risks associated with migration activities.
  5. Upgrade VueJS single-page micro-frontend applications to support local development during migration.
  6. Upgrade NodeJS microservices to deploy into modern AWS Lambda runtimes.
  7. Migrate medical IoT devices to ensure seamless integration with our systems.
  8. Work with infrastructure engineers to migrate legacy CloudFormation templates to Python (CDK).
  9. Identify and document opportunities for improvement as applications are migrated.
  10. Develop scripts to automatically test the operability of applications after migration.
  11. Develop scripts to automatically test the accuracy of database migration activities.
  12. Work within a 24-hour delivery cycle, collaborating with engineers in our India development center.
  13. Generate technical documentation to capture the deployed state of our digital products.
  14. Estimate and track work using Agile methodology.
Requirements:
  1. Master's degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. 10 years of experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  3. Experience working with OAuth 2.0 (Okta experience preferred).
  4. Experience working with IoT Devices (IoT Management in a Public Cloud Provider preferred).
  5. Experience working with mTLS.
  6. Experience working on regulated products.
  7. Experience hosting applications on public cloud providers.
  8. Strong understanding of Change Control concepts.
  9. Strong understanding of Configuration Management concepts.
  10. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  11. Experience working on productive Agile development teams.
  12. Ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive projects to completion.
  13. Strong application debugging experience.
  14. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  15. Demonstrated understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle.
  16. Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
  17. Demonstrated ability to quickly achieve a working acumen of new technologies.
