About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Store Manager to lead our retail team at Levi Strauss & Co. in Newmarket, ON, CAN. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and maintaining a high level of operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth, improve conversion rates, and increase sales per hour.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure seamless store operations, including payroll management, cash handling, inventory control, and visual merchandising.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of sales associates, including members of store management.
  • Customer Experience: Create a compelling store experience for customers by engaging and modeling excellent customer service behaviors.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure accurate receiving and sending of merchandise, complete price changes and ticketing procedures, and maintain a high level of inventory accuracy.
  • Loss Prevention: Prevent loss by educating associates, monitoring daily store activity, and partnering with Loss Prevention and Merchandising.
  • Visual Merchandising: Perform store visual standards following visual merchandising direction, accomplishing superior product presentation, and make decisions about and adaptations to visual merchandising direction based on the layout and needs of the store.
  • Training and Development: Manage the training process for new hires on LS&CO culture, product knowledge, selling practices, and other associate responsibilities, holding all employees accountable to individual sales goals.
  • Employee Relations: Manage employee relations issues, including performance management, and ensure associates follow LS&CO policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (5+ years of retail work experience may be substituted for a degree)
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in retail store management, managing and coaching sales associates
  • Apparel Experience: Knowledge of the apparel industry and experience working with fashion brands
  • Leadership Skills: Energetic, positive, helpful demeanor, and a passion for Levi Strauss & Co.
