Job Title: Tile Setter

Oxford County Renovations Ltd is seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for installing ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone tiles in residential and commercial settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare surfaces for tile installation, including measuring, marking, and cleaning.
  • Mix and apply adhesives, mortars, and grouts to ensure a strong and durable bond.
  • Set tiles in place, using hand tools and power equipment to cut and shape tiles as needed.
  • Align and straighten tiles to ensure a precise and professional finish.
  • Install tile strips and mosaic tiles to create decorative designs and patterns.
  • Cut, surface, and polish marble and granite tiles to achieve a high-gloss finish.
  • Mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces to create a durable and attractive finish.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in tile setting.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods.
Work Conditions:

This is a physically demanding role that requires frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling. The work environment is typically indoors, with occasional outdoor work in construction sites.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Work Schedule:

The work schedule is 35 to 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime as needed.
