Financial Strategist - Manufacturing

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Strategist to lead our accounting, controls, and compliance functions. This role will play a crucial part in driving financial performance and ensuring operational excellence within our organization.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of accounting, internal controls, and regulatory compliance for the company.
  • Lead the monthly closing process and develop accurate financial forecasts.
  • Provide insightful analysis and explanations for budget variances to key stakeholders.
  • Monitor and track critical financial performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Prepare period-end entries and conduct in-depth account analyses.
  • Support budgeting and strategic planning initiatives by providing financial expertise.
  • Continuously evaluate current accounting operations and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams and corporate departments to ensure seamless financial operations.
  • Actively participate in the annual audit preparation process.
  • Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing finance team.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance with a CPA/CA designation.
  • 8-10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical accounting skills and proven leadership abilities in managing financial teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Familiarity with SAP software is an asset.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet tight deadlines, and effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to health, safety, and environmental best practices.
  • Fluency in both French and English, both written and spoken.
