About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team at 0749610 BC LTD. as a Construction Assistant. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from project sites.
  • Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, leveling ground, and laying down protective materials.
  • Construction Tasks: Assist in mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt. Help align pipes during pipeline construction, drill and blast rock on construction sites, and assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
  • Demolition and Cleanup: Assist in demolishing buildings and clean up chemical spills and other contaminants.
  • Maintenance and Equipment Operation: Perform routine maintenance work and operate machines or equipment used in construction.
  • Site Safety: Direct traffic at or near construction sites and ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Conditions: Work under pressure, in physically demanding environments, with tight deadlines, and require attention to detail.
  • Physical Capabilities: Be able to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials and equipment.
Personal Qualities and Suitability
  • Personal Qualities: Be accurate, flexible, a team player, and hardworking.
  • Work Term: This is a permanent position.
  • Work Language: English is the primary language used in the workplace.
  • Hours of Work: 30 to 40 hours per week.
