Position Title: Finnish Localization Quality Assurance Tester
Role Overview:
Amber is in search of a Finnish Localization Quality Assurance Tester to become part of their team in Montreal on an as-needed basis. Comprehensive training will be offered to candidates lacking prior experience. This position entails evaluating video games for linguistic, visual, and cultural discrepancies across a variety of platforms, including mobile, PC, and console, as a member of a multilingual QA testing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting assessments of video game titles in Finnish
- Detecting translation, contextual, cultural, and linguistic inaccuracies
- Documenting errors clearly within bug-tracking systems
- Suggesting improvements for translated materials
- Adhering to established terminology guidelines
- Collaborating with colleagues to cross-verify issues
- Reporting to and following directives from the Test Lead
- Addressing and escalating concerns as necessary
Qualifications:
- Native-level proficiency in Finnish
- Eligibility to work in Canada
- Familiarity with mobile, PC, and console gaming platforms
- A genuine passion for video games
- Strong attention to detail
- Professional proficiency in English
