We have mills in various locations across Canada, including Nova Scotia, Ontario, Saskatchewan, and Alberta. Our products are supplied to customers throughout Canada, the United States, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Iceland, and Pacific Rim countries.
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Packing Operator to join our team in Halifax, NS. As a Packing Operator, you will play a vital role in our Milling division, supporting the operations and performing your duties in a safe and timely manner within the Mill.
Key Responsibilities
- Weigh, pack, and load flour products in a safe manner.
- Operate tote filling and packer systems, along with stretch wrap machines.
- Keep the work area tidy and perform sanitation duties throughout the plant as required.
- Complete and follow all Health & Safety training relating to the job.
- Perform other plant duties as required and assigned by the Production Supervisor.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a general laborer position and manufacturing environment.
- The ability to operate a forklift.
- The ability to safely lift and stack 25kg bags.
- The ability to work in an environment that is exposed to dust.
- The ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- The ability to work shiftwork (12 hours shifts, working 4 on and 4 off with a Night/Day rotation which includes working weekends).
