Car Repair C Job Description

Procor Limited is seeking a skilled Car Repair C to join our team at our Oakville Repair Facility. As a Car Repair C, you will be responsible for performing routine and repetitive assembly operations, including assembling mechanical units or fabricated parts to make sub-assemblies or complete products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Tank car repairs, including brake tests, general running repairs, and valve replacement/rebuilding
  • Tank car cleaning and re-qualification
  • Bubble leak testing and jacking of railcars
  • Switching of railcars and confined space entry
  • Top fittings modifications and adherence to health and safety standards
Requirements:
  • Tank car repair and car cleaning experience
  • Successful completion of a four-position fillet weld test
  • WHMIS training and experience dealing with hazardous commodities
  • NDT skills, such as PLI, MPI, UTT, and BLT
  • Detail-oriented and excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work well independently and have strong initiative
  • Valid driver's license
