We are seeking a skilled and physically fit Farm Laborer to join our team at Kegels Ginseng Inc. as a Ginseng Crop Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the health and productivity of our ginseng crops.
Key Responsibilities- Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens, and other work areas to maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Clear fields of wood and stones to prepare the soil for planting and cultivation.
- Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops to ensure optimal growth and yield.
- Harvest crops at the right time to maximize quality and quantity.
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation.
- Apply the technique of hoeing between the row to control weeds and maintain soil health.
The successful candidate will work in a rural area, outdoors, and in all weather conditions. The work site environment is dusty, hot, and wet/damp.
Requirements- Physical demands include standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
- Attention to detail is required to ensure accurate and efficient work.
- Handling heavy loads is a regular part of the job.
- Combination of sitting, standing, walking is required to perform various tasks.
- Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing work schedules and priorities.
- Reliability to ensure timely completion of tasks and responsibilities.
- Seasonal work with a variable schedule.
- 40 to 60 hours per week depending on the season and workload.
