Our client is in search of a dedicated Entry-Level Accountant to become a vital part of their financial team. The ideal candidate will take charge of managing and processing client invoices, aiding in account reconciliations, and handling payments while adhering to established protocols for maintaining accurate financial records.
Your success will be defined by your ability to:
- Manage the billing cycle by generating, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices, while accurately applying customer payments.
- Reconcile processed transactions by verifying entries and comparing system reports to account balances.
- Ensure that outstanding balances are kept up-to-date and precise.
- Update financial information in databases to maintain data integrity.
- Process financial entries to ensure accurate recording of all business transactions.
- Maintain historical records of invoices, reports, and checks by properly archiving documents on the network.
- Allocate revenue to the appropriate accounts in accordance with departmental guidelines.
- Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly financial reports.
- Support the processing of income statements, balance sheets, and other financial documents in compliance with legal and organizational standards.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, as well as federal and state regulations.
- Assist in reviewing payroll records and expenses, along with other assigned duties.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with at least two years of relevant experience.
- A comprehensive understanding of bookkeeping practices and principles.
- Solid knowledge of accounting and financial reporting standards.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail coupled with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Critical thinking skills with a strong proficiency in mathematics.
- Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Outstanding report writing, communication, and IT skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and various accounting software applications.
