Position Overview
The Department of Mechanical, Industrial, and Aerospace Engineering at Concordia University invites applications for a three-year Extended Term Appointment (ETA) faculty position in the area of Industrial Engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach core undergraduate Industrial Engineering courses, including quality control, probability and statistics for engineers, discrete-event simulation, logistic network models, facilities planning and warehouse operations, stochastic models in industrial engineering, human factors engineering, and computer-integrated manufacturing.
- Take a strong lead in the core IE undergraduate courses, including course content, delivery, and evaluation.
- Supervise students' project work and contribute to Department and program administration, including the implementation of CEAB Graduate Attributes.
Qualifications and Assets
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and a Ph.D. degree in Industrial Engineering or a similar discipline.
- Be a member of a Canadian professional engineering association, preferably in Quebec.
- Have industrial experience, which will be a definite asset.
