Job Summary

We are currently recruiting for an Area Supervisor in the Asphalt operations for our Edmonton area. This is a full-time position that reports directly to the General Manager of Asphalt.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a Strong Safety Culture
    • Ensure employees adhere to company policies and safe work practices
  • Provide Leadership and Direction
    • Oversee equipment maintenance, production, and plant utilization
    • Provide exceptional customer service and support frontline supervisors
  • Develop and Maintain Customer Relationships
    • Provide timely quotes and monitor market conditions and trends
    • Deliver exceptional customer service throughout all stages of the sales process
  • Manage and Control Costs
    • Work with management to develop and deliver annual budgets
    • Manage inventories and identify process improvement opportunities
  • Coordinate with Quality Control
    • Ensure the quality of our product and customers' specifications are met
  • Build Strategic Relationships
    • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including management, quality control, direct reports, shared services, customers, vendors, and other BURNCO divisions
  • Maintain Facilities and Equipment
    • Ensure buildings and equipment are neat, clean, and well-maintained

Qualifications

  • Management experience in the asphalt industry is considered an asset
  • Proven leadership in motivating teams, resolving conflicts, and building cohesive units
  • Demonstrate ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems
  • Flexible, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with the potential of weekends/afterhours
  • Post-secondary education considered an asset
