**Job Summary**

Camosun College is seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to fill the role of Chair. As a key member of the college community, the Chair will play a vital role in enabling the achievement of college-wide strategic objectives.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Lead and manage the department to achieve its goals and objectives
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote student success and retention
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to advance the college's mission and vision
  • Provide leadership and guidance to faculty and staff to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure the department remains relevant and effective

**Requirements**

  • Post-secondary qualifications consistent with teaching discipline
  • Qualified in at least one area of the department's expertise
  • Three years of full-time teaching or educational development experience at the post-secondary level
