Quality Assurance Software Analyst

The Manufacturing Division is an integral part of the Investment Product Solutions Department, dedicated to equipping our business sectors with innovative tools and applications for the creation and management of investment solutions available to investors through Desjardins. As a Software Quality Specialist, you play a crucial role in defining and executing a comprehensive software quality assurance strategy within a medium to large-scale operational area. Your responsibilities include pinpointing opportunities to enhance the quality processes of the team and collaborating with architects, developers, and analysts to identify and refine automation initiatives while recommending effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the formulation of the quality strategy for designated teams, determining necessary tests to ensure comprehensive coverage aligned with the targeted testing levels, while coordinating with various teams.
- Develop and refine automated test cases, ensuring continuous optimization, overseeing the design and monitoring of test cases identified by the team, and maintaining records of your assigned tests.
- Coordinate the preparation of testing environments and data in collaboration with teammates and colleagues from other disciplines.
- Conduct thorough testing (both manual and automated) as assigned.
- Monitor and report on test outcomes as outlined in the product quality strategy.
- Guide and provide insights on quality development process indicators for the teams you support.
- Assist fellow specialists in defining various scopes, including stories, releases, sprints, projects, and tests.
- Document technical solutions and practices to ensure the sustainability of products.

Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology.
- A minimum of four years of relevant experience in software quality assurance analysis and automation.
- Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may also be considered.
- Experience with REST and SOAP API testing (REST-assured).
- Familiarity with DevOps and Scrum/Agile methodologies.
- Proficiency in French is required.
- Strong skills in Java programming.
- Expertise in test automation.
- Familiarity with tools such as Xray for Jira, Cypress, Selenium, Robot Framework, Postman, Cucumber and Gherkin, Docker, Kubernetes, Git Bash, and Swagger.
- Knowledge of Python programming.
- Understanding of databases and SQL queries.
