Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at City South Pizza. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our kitchen and front-of-house areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food and Supply Management
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies in a timely and cost-effective manner.
    • Ensure that all food and supplies are stored and handled in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Staff Supervision and Training
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and food preparation assistants.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Quality Control and Customer Service
    • Ensure that all food and service meet our high quality control standards.
    • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Reporting and Administration
    • Prepare and submit reports on kitchen operations, including food costs, inventory levels, and staff performance.
    • Prepare food order summaries for the chef and other relevant staff members.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • At least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service or related role.
  • Physical Demands
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to work under pressure.
    • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
    • Standing for extended periods.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Flexibility.
    • Team player.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 30-hour workweek. The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
