Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Supervisor to join our team at McCain Foods. As a Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Fertilizer Blending Facilities in Florenceville, NB.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Ensure the effective operation and maintenance of our facilities, including the blending line and equipment.
- Team Management: Manage and develop a team of 2 full-time staff and 15 temporary seasonal employees during peak seasons.
- Training and Development: Conduct on-the-job training with new employees and ensure current employees are properly trained in their positions.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure our safety program is being followed, help to develop and embed our safety culture, and participate in health and safety initiatives.
- Maintenance and Inventory Management: Develop and implement maintenance schedules for key components of our blending line and equipment, and manage inventory (receiving, tracking, orders, transfers).
- Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with internal and external customers to problem-solve, manage change, and resolve employee issues effectively.
Requirements:
- Education and Experience: Journeymen Trade Certificate in electrical, mechanical, or welding/fabrication, and 5+ years' experience with site operations, maintenance, and supervision.
- Skills and Abilities: Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and prioritize efficiently, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Physical Demands: Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
