About the Role

American Iron & Metal Company is seeking a highly skilled Non-Ferrous Metal Receiver to join our team at our AIM Recyclage Rouyn-Noranda site. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth running of our production processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sort and Classify Non-Ferrous Metals
  • Operate a forklift to transport materials
  • Perform daily maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is in good working order
  • Assist with torch cutting as needed
  • Prepare shipments and receipt of materials
  • Provide excellent customer service

Requirements

  • Experience operating a forklift (an asset)
  • Experience in metal recycling (an asset)
  • Knowledge of metals (an asset)
  • Ability to work in a dusty environment
  • Ability to work outdoors, rain or shine
  • Good physical shape
  • Ability to work safely
  • Be responsible and resourceful
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Be punctual and diligent

What We Offer

  • Full-time, permanent position
  • Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm
  • Overtime paid at time and a half after 40 hours
