Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement short- and long-range goals and objectives to support the company's vision and policies.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of security programs for all Paladin contracts, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
  • Lead a team of security professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the timely response to client and staff issues.
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Perform interviews to support Human Resources, ensuring sufficient resources are available to meet the company's contractual obligations.
  • Ensure thorough site training and employee orientations programs are in place at all sites.
  • Visit clients and staff regularly to ensure their needs are met and provide feedback.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and assist accounting as needed to ensure all accounts are up to date.
  • Monitor daily and nightly reports and Incident Reports, taking appropriate action as needed.
  • Ensure overall coordination of Paladin contract security plans, including developing and maintaining security programs, facility plans, and related documentation.
  • Support other Paladin-wide programs by delivering education and awareness sessions on security issues as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of management experience of employees and client services.
  • A graduate degree in Business or Health Care Administration or related discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum of three years supervisory/managerial experience in security and/or fire safety services.
  • Working knowledge of appropriate legislation and provincial/national standards on fire safety, building codes, security, and protection of privacy.
  • Strong leadership, social interaction, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to write and present proposals to large organizations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High level of professionalism.
  • Ability to write comprehensive reports and maintain proper records.
  • Working knowledge of appropriate legislation and provincial/national standards on fire safety, building codes, security, and protection of privacy.
  • Usual business hours of work with after-hours and weekend availability required.
  • Must have a reliable working vehicle.
  • Class G Driver's License required.
  • Experience with Paladin Mobile Division is an asset.
