About the Role:

Vancouver Island University is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Psychology Instructor to join our team. As a Psychology Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the field of psychology, with a focus on undergraduate education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and develop curriculum for introductory psychology courses
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching methods to engage students
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
  • Participate in departmental and institutional committees
  • Contribute to the development of the Psychology Department

Requirements:

  • PhD in Psychology from an accredited institution
  • Recent experience in teaching and mentoring students
  • Experience with learning management systems and technology
  • Demonstrated proficiency with technology relevant to the position

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching small classes in an inclusive learning environment
