Your Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Quality, Health, Safety & Environment Manager, the successful candidate will oversee the coordination and implementation of health and safety protocols within the P&H Grain Division.

Key Duties
  1. Establish and monitor training requirements for both new and existing employees, ensuring compliance through detailed reporting and follow-ups.
  2. Analyze and interpret regulatory documents to ensure adherence to health and safety standards.
  3. Provide expert guidance to various P&H locations on health and food safety policies.
  4. Deliver timely and accurate reports on safety meetings and inspections.
  5. Maintain an organized filing system for records, including third-party inspections and incident reports.
  6. Manage and follow up on incident reports, ensuring proper documentation and claims management.
  7. Facilitate collaborative discussions and meetings aimed at enhancing health and safety initiatives.
  8. Conduct thorough on-site inspections related to health and food safety, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Qualifications
  1. Post-secondary education in Health & Safety, Food Safety, Business, or Agriculture.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in occupational health and safety roles.
  3. Ability to travel as required and possess a valid driver's license.
  4. Proficient in interpreting health and safety regulations with a practical implementation approach.
  5. Strong analytical skills with experience in root cause analysis.
  6. Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with strong presentation and documentation capabilities.
  7. Proficient in Microsoft 365 Applications, particularly Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Certification as a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP).
  2. Experience within the Agricultural sector.
