About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Fish Processing Labourer at Petit-Cap Fisheries Ltd.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation and Handling: Transport fish and shellfish to the work area, ensuring timely and efficient processing.
  • Quality Control: Condition fish filets for wrapping or freezing, and weigh fish or shellfish, recording weight and packing fish in ice.
  • Maintenance and Cleaning: Clean machines and immediate work areas, maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Ingredient Management: Measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
  • Sorting and Classification: Sort fish according to species, weight, and destination, ensuring high-quality products.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Conditions: The role requires working in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, physically demanding conditions, and attention to detail.
