Job Overview:
The Maritime Operations Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing all aspects of operations at the port of Blanc Sablon. This position entails overseeing the efficient functioning of the agency, catering to both local residents and tourists, while also handling various administrative and operational responsibilities associated with maritime activities.
In collaboration with the operations director, the coordinator will be responsible for supervising all ferry service operations, which include:
- Providing exceptional customer service
- Managing cargo logistics
- Executing administrative tasks
Additional key responsibilities encompass:
- Coordinating the reception and transport of diverse goods
- Facilitating vehicle and passenger transport services
- Ensuring a safe and compliant working environment
The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma, along with 1-2 years of pertinent experience in a business setting. A valid driver's license is required, and bilingual proficiency in English and French is essential. Familiarity with MS Office applications and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are also necessary attributes. The successful candidate will be recognized for their professionalism, meticulous attention to detail, proactive approach to tasks, and commitment to achieving operational excellence.
