Position Overview
We are currently in search of a Stress Engineer to join our aeronautical division.
Your key responsibilities will encompass:
- Assisting with stress-related in-service repair operations.
- Conducting a variety of stress analyses on repairs, including static strength, fatigue/durability, damage tolerance, and Finite Element Modeling (FEM) for multi-platform aircraft programs.
- Generating stress reports and performing static strength and damage tolerance assessments for compliance verification.
- Executing stress calculations to assess design alternatives and repair evaluations.
- Reviewing engineering drawings related to repairs and actively contributing to the formulation of in-service solutions.
- Providing management with clear updates regarding the status and potential issues related to supported repair activities.
Candidate Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, complemented by 8 years of pertinent experience within the aerospace sector.
Experience in aircraft structural justification analysis, including statics and fatigue/durability, along with a robust understanding of structural damage tolerance analysis, is essential.
Proficiency in Patran/Nastran, Nasgro, and CATIA V5 software is mandatory.
The successful candidate will be a confident, capable, and dynamic individual with exceptional communication and listening abilities, thriving in a collaborative environment.
Additionally, you should be proactive, possess a strong sense of accountability, and demonstrate sound engineering judgment.
