Job Summary

The Harm Reduction Coordinator provides leadership in the delivery of harm reduction services across Interior Health. This role involves planning, implementing, and evaluating harm reduction strategies, initiatives, and services. The successful candidate will work closely with internal partners, community organizations, and contracted agencies to promote collaboration and coordination of services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement harm reduction strategies, initiatives, and services across Interior Health
  • Collaborate with internal partners, community organizations, and contracted agencies to promote collaboration and coordination of services
  • Provide expert advice on harm reduction strategies and advocate for public awareness of harm reduction support services
  • Contribute to the development of program guidelines, standards, and procedures
  • Participate in committees, task groups, and/or community initiatives
  • Monitor harm reduction contracts and coordinate community grants
  • Develop and maintain harmonious working relationships with internal partners, community organizations, and contracted agencies
Requirements

The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of harm reduction principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills. A degree in a related field and relevant experience in harm reduction or a related field are required.
