Piping Design Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Piping Design Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing detailed piping layouts and schematics for diverse projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and technical specifications.

Responsibilities:
  • Utilize CAD software to create comprehensive piping drawings, including plans, sections, elevations, and isometric views.
  • Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, such as piping specifications, materials lists, and installation guidelines.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide technical support throughout the design process.
  • Ensure all piping designs adhere to industry codes, standards, and company specifications (e.g., ASME, API).
  • Analyze and optimize piping designs for functionality, cost-effectiveness, and safety.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of drawings and designs to guarantee accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project requirements.
  • Implement design revisions and changes as needed, maintaining meticulous records of all modifications.
  • Identify and resolve design issues or conflicts in piping layouts, working collaboratively with team members to develop effective solutions.
Qualifications:
  • Diploma in Piping Design or equivalent qualification required.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Cadworx, Spoolfab) and piping design tools.
  • Strong understanding of piping materials, specifications, and industry codes.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in drafting work.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in piping drafting or a related field.
