Position Overview
The Senior Manager within the Credit Risk Analytics and Methodology division will be instrumental in guaranteeing the precision, uniformity, and adherence to regulations of data utilized in credit risk analytics, specifically for AIRB (Advanced Internal Ratings-Based) and IFRS 9 frameworks.

This position emphasizes delivering data support, upholding data integrity, collaborating with various data system teams, and assisting the analytics team in the formulation of credit risk models. The ideal candidate will also supervise the quarterly review process to ensure alignment with regulatory reporting standards.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Manager will undertake several critical tasks, including:

  • **Quarterly Review and Reporting:** Conduct the quarterly review process for AIRB and IFRS 9 models, ensuring that regulatory reports accurately reflect the institution's actual loss experience and provisioning. Evaluate trends, discrepancies, and potential data/model challenges that may surface during the review process.
  • **Data Support for Credit Models:** Offer expert guidance on data management and quality assurance for AIRB and IFRS 9 credit risk models. Collaborate closely with the analytics team to ensure the integrity and dependability of data used in model development and validation.
  • **Data Quality Oversight:** Lead initiatives to monitor, evaluate, and improve data quality across various systems. Work with different data system teams to resolve any data inconsistencies, gaps, or issues that could affect model performance or regulatory reporting.
  • **Collaboration with Data Systems Teams:** Act as the primary liaison between the credit analytics team and data system teams, ensuring smooth data flow and consistency across various platforms. Ensure that data architecture and governance frameworks align with the requirements of AIRB and IFRS 9 models.
  • **Regulatory Compliance Assurance:** Guarantee that all data processes and outputs adhere to relevant regulatory standards. Participate in audits and regulatory assessments as necessary, providing data-related insights and documentation.
  • **Documentation and Standards Development:** Create and maintain thorough documentation of data processes, standards, and quality controls. Ensure that these documents are current and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
  • **Stakeholder Collaboration:** Engage with risk management, IT, Data Systems, and other key stakeholders to ensure that data-related activities fulfill business needs and regulatory expectations.
  • **Continuous Improvement Initiatives:** Identify opportunities for process enhancements in data management and quality assurance. Implement best practices to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of data-related activities in credit risk analytics.
Qualifications

Required:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with comprehensive knowledge in any of the following areas: risk management (credit, market, operational, etc.), data science, financial analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python, SAS, SQL, GitHub, Tableau.
  • Ability to effectively translate technical expertise into business language that generates insights.
  • Strong commitment to quality and accuracy with meticulous attention to detail. Excellent organizational skills and capability to manage multiple time-sensitive priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • A proactive self-starter who can effectively handle pressure and has experience collaborating with senior management teams.
  • Capacity to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, global environment and adapt swiftly to changing priorities.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science) to demonstrate critical thinking and data analysis capabilities.
  • Experience within the financial sector.
  • Solid understanding of credit products, principles, guidelines, policies, and credit terminologies.
