Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Project Development Co-op Student to join our team in Edmonton. The successful candidate will support and participate in compliant and successful proposals and submissions for various types of pursuits.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced administrative support for the Project Development team, including data entry, document management, and correspondence.
- Assist in the establishment and maintenance of the Project Development record system, including prospective clients, estimates, proposal tracking, and historical project database.
- Prepare correspondence, meeting minutes, and other documentation as required.
- Assist with the management of opportunity platforms and maintain the estimating subtrade database.
- Set up and maintain documentation control management systems for projects.
- Ensure that Project Development and Estimating folders are correctly numbered and titled, including subfolders.
- Download and distribute Estimating documents as required.
- Assist in reviewing RFQ/RFP/EOI documents to ensure submissions are focused, creative, articulate, and compliant.
- Assist in editing and proofing written, technical components of proposals for content, conciseness, active voice, and correct grammar.
- Research client and project information to assist in proposals.
- Create interview and presentation materials for the Project Development team, including PowerPoint presentations and handouts.
- Aid in providing profiles, text, images, and social media items to the Marketing Team.
- Attend meetings and site visits as required.
Requirements
- Strong communication, creativity, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently or in a group environment.
- Strong oral and written English communication skills.
- Demonstrates initiative, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn and adapt to change.
- Pursuing a post-secondary degree in Business, Engineering, or related education is preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) is an asset but not essential.
- Experience with Salesforce is an asset but not essential.
