Your Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure that project setups adhere to established Project Controls protocols and standards.
  2. Monitor, manage, and report on program and project performance throughout the project lifecycle.
  3. Lead a team of Cost Control experts.
  4. Provide guidance and recommend solutions for issues that may hinder project objectives, while suggesting ways to optimize overall project expenses.
  5. Oversee the timely and precise updating of cost reports at the conclusion of each reporting cycle for project control accounts to ensure accurate monthly financial reporting.
  6. Analyze actual data trends and forecast future performance.
  7. Deliver regular updates on project cost status, highlight deviations, and propose corrective measures.
  8. Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of commitments for purchase orders.
  9. Provide consistent reports on project time tracking, analyze budget discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions.
  10. Guarantee that PMET reporting is precise, up-to-date, and that all variances are well-documented and justified.
  11. Contribute to client reporting efforts.
  12. Prepare forward-looking project and business cash flow projections.
  13. Assist Project Control Managers in coordinating the change management process for the project.
  14. Lead the implementation of ECOSYS within the project framework.
  15. Collaborate with other project controls personnel, including fellow Cost Controllers and planners, to maintain a cohesive cost-schedule project control system.
  16. Work with planners to assess deliverable progress and update estimates to complete.
  17. Present information to team members as necessary.
  18. Coordinate with the Financial Shared Services Centre (FSSC) to initiate, review, and issue client invoices.
  19. Serve as the primary contact for all Cost/Finance-related inquiries for the project.
  20. Lead the support and preparation of applications for government funding.
  21. Handle special assignments, ad hoc reports, and other related tasks as required.

The Ideal Candidate:
  1. A Bachelor's degree.
  2. A minimum of 10 years of experience in Cost Control, reaching up to a Lead level.
  3. Capability to manage multiple demands effectively.
  4. Experience in managing Programs (multiple projects and initiatives within a program).
  5. Expertise in Microsoft Excel and Access database, including Visual Basic programming in both, is mandatory.
