Job Summary

The Coordinated Access and Assessment Manager is a key role within BC Housing, responsible for implementing and overseeing the Coordinated Access and Assessment initiative in the region. This position requires a collaborative leader who can provide guidance and support to community partners and stakeholders in housing individuals who are homeless or experiencing chronic homelessness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and advice to community partners and stakeholders in implementing the Coordinated Access and Assessment initiative
  • Collaborate with regional and stakeholder resources to support program operation and delivery
  • Develop and maintain relationships with housing providers, service providers, and government agencies
  • Provide training and consultation services on related assessment tools and program policies
  • Lead and motivate staff in a team setting

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Work, or a related field
  • Considerable experience in building relationships and providing leadership to partners and stakeholders in housing the homeless or other diverse populations
  • Sound knowledge of BC Housing's programs and services relating to homelessness
  • Effective negotiation, conflict resolution, problem-solving, and consensus-building skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain constructive working relationships with housing providers, service providers, and government agencies

Working Conditions

  • Ability to travel 25% of the time and work periodic evenings
  • Valid BC Driver's License and satisfactory driving record required
  • Access to a reliable vehicle required
