Financial Controller Job Description

At Charles Turcotte et fils, we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the organization's financial operations and budget activities to optimize financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign financial projects and activities to workers to improve business decisions
  • Coordinate the organization's financial operations and budget activities to optimize financial performance
  • Direct staff and evaluate daily operations
  • Identify and investigate compliance issues
  • Plan and control budget and expenditures
  • Plan and organize daily operations
  • Review budgets and financial reports for specific projects
  • Train staff and establish policies and procedures
  • Monitor financial control systems and manage contracts
  • Oversee the preparation of reports and advise senior management
  • Keep financial records and establish, maintain, and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Oversee payroll administration
Requirements:
  • 5 years or more of experience in accounting
  • Accurate and dependable with strong team player skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
