About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Truck Trailer Mechanic to join our team at Jerry's Transport. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Test Mechanical Units: Conduct thorough inspections and tests to identify faults and malfunctions in truck-trailer systems.
  • Repair and Maintain Equipment: Perform repairs, adjustments, and replacements of parts and components to ensure optimal performance.
  • Estimate and Manage Maintenance Costs: Accurately estimate parts and labor costs for maintenance and repairs.
  • Perform Scheduled Maintenance: Carry out routine maintenance services to prevent breakdowns and ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Record and Report Work: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including problems encountered and solutions implemented.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: 3 years of experience in heavy-duty mechanics, with a focus on truck-trailer systems.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
  • Language and Communication: Fluency in English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
