Warehouse Associate Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our team at Fastenal Canada. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics and distribution processes.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse setting is an asset.
Work Environment

The position is based in a retail/wholesale establishment or distribution center, where teamwork and collaboration are key.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and supply areas.
  • Utilize inventory control systems to keep accurate records.
  • Receive, unpack, and categorize incoming materials and supplies.
  • Prepare and dispatch products, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Store items appropriately within the warehouse.
  • Accurately document goods received and shipped.
  • Prepare shipping documents such as bills of lading and invoices.
  • Ensure proper packing of goods for shipment.
  • Maintain internal record-keeping systems for inventory.
  • Coordinate billing processes for services rendered.
Safety and Security

Transportation Requirements

A valid driver's license is necessary for this position.

Physical Requirements

Candidates should possess strong attention to detail and be capable of handling weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) and is a permanent role with a work schedule of 20 to 28 hours per week.
