About the Role

This is a site-based position located in Timmins, ON, requiring a strong technical background and excellent communication skills.

The successful candidate will provide day-to-day technical support for services related to operational technology and data systems, including Fleet Management Systems technologies such as Minestar, DSS, Surface Manager, two-way radio, telemetry, Blast PED system, Cap lamp, and fleet management network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage relationships with service providers' field engineers and operations teams.
  • Adhere to Newmont Regional Occupational Health and Safety policy and procedures.
  • Consistently demonstrate and encourage safe work practices.
  • Support regulatory and corporate compliance initiatives as they pertain to information and content assets.
  • Promote and comply with Newmont goals and values.
  • Provide level 1 and 2 system support for incidents and escalate to the supervisor when necessary.
  • Execute changes for field technology services and related equipment.
  • Track related technology issues, coordinate resolution, and assist in driving issues to closure.
  • Configure and activate additional services on two-way radio systems, fleet systems, Blast PED, telemetry, and GPS augmentation.
  • Facilitate and install on-board equipment requests, such as Minestar, Optimine, Jigsaw, Pitram, Fatigue, and Collision detection.
  • Support current or new CAT/Minestar solutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electrical, Technologist, Mechanic, or related field.
  • Understanding of ITIL Cross-functional management process.
  • Broad knowledge of technology considerations, including performance, scalability, maintainability, deployment, operations, and technology infrastructure.
  • Emerging technologies.
  • Valid "G" driver's license.
  • Experience with Rajant, CAT technologies is an asset.
  • 3 to 5 years of work experience in technical roles, including Technology Management.
  • Prior mining or industrial experience is required.
  • Customer relationship experience.
Working Conditions

This is a site-based position located in Timmins, ON. The schedule is 4 days on, 3 days off.
