Det'on Cho Management LP is dedicated to serving the Yellowknives Dene First Nation through Bouwa Whee Catering, a fully indigenous-owned entity. We specialize in providing professional catering services to remote mining operations across Canada. Our organization fosters a positive workplace culture that emphasizes growth, collaboration, and inclusivity.
Job Role:
The Dishwasher will be a full-time position reporting directly to the Chef at the Diavik Diamond Mine Site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area and equipment to meet established standards
- Continuously wash dishes throughout the shift to ensure the kitchen team has the necessary tools
- Support the culinary team and Chef as required
- Assist with general cleaning tasks
- Adhere strictly to Food Safety practices
- Participate in scheduled training and safety meetings
Candidate Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Knowledge of safe and efficient operation of kitchen equipment
- Understanding of proper usage of cleaning chemicals and associated safety measures
- Current WHMIS and Level 1 Food Safety certifications
- Familiarity with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Strong time management and customer service abilities
- Proven capability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Punctuality and ability to work 12-hour shifts
