Tomlinson Group of Companies is seeking a skilled Quarry Person/Operator to join our team in the Ottawa area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain quarry roadways and ensure safe access for equipment and personnel.
  • Operate a variety of heavy equipment, including but not limited to, excavators, haul trucks, and loaders, as required.
  • Assist with plant operations and perform tasks as assigned by the Foreman.
  • Document all repairs performed during each shift and identify potential maintenance needs.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, clean, lubricate, and refill as necessary.
  • Operate heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to company safety protocols.
  • Perform miscellaneous tasks assigned by the Foreman, as required.

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a noisy and dusty environment.
  • Drive on rough terrain and navigate bumpy roads.
  • Typical workday is 10-12 hours, with occasional weekend and night shift requirements.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience as an equipment operator is an asset.
