About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Attendant to join our team at Amherst Wandlyn Inn Ltd. As a Housekeeping Attendant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our hotel rooms and public areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture.
  • Bedding and Linens: Make beds and change sheets, distribute clean towels and toiletries, and stock linen closets.
  • Kitchen and Bathroom Cleaning: Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
  • Lost and Found: Handle and report lost and found items.
  • Guest Services: Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items.
  • Housekeeping Operations: Pick up debris, empty trash containers, wash windows, walls, and ceilings, and clean changing rooms and showers.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Work Environment: Non-smoking environment.
  • Work Setting: Hotel, motel, or resort.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work independently, fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, attention to detail, bending, crouching, kneeling, standing for extended periods, and walking.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, flexibility, organized, reliability, team player, and values and ethics.
