Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Hydraulic Service Technician to join our team at SunSource. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for providing technical services to our customers, including building, converting, and repairing hydraulic piston pumps and motors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and repair hydraulic components, including piston pumps and motors, to ensure they meet manufacturer specifications.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues with mobile and industrial hydraulic systems, including components from Danfoss, Parker, and Amca.
  • Assemble and test power units, and repair, convert, and assemble all types of hydraulic components.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, and participate in continuous improvement through training and associate development.
  • Work efficiently with a team, set a positive example for new technicians, and guide them through repairs and training.
  • Stay current on our products and technology, and assist in utilizing deadstock inventory during conversions or other opportunities.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience with repairs and assembly of hydraulic components.
  • Ability to assemble and test power units, and repair, convert, and assemble all types of hydraulic components.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mobile and industrial hydraulic systems.
  • Experience with components from Danfoss, Parker, and Amca is a plus.
  • Hydraulic theory and general troubleshooting experience would be preferred.
  • General computer knowledge (Word, Outlook, Excel).

  • Hydraulics 100 and 200.
  • Troubleshooting (Outside Service Technician).
