Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain comprehensive records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory
  • Analyze operational costs and other relevant data
  • Demonstrate innovative cooking techniques and equipment to kitchen personnel
  • Oversee the activities of specialist chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff
  • Develop new recipes
  • Instruct cooks in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of dishes
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for various events
  • Supervise kitchen staff effectively
  • Order food and kitchen supplies as needed
  • Coordinate equipment purchases and repairs
  • Consult with clients regarding catering for events
  • Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities
  • Design menus and ensure the quality of food served
  • Prepare dishes accommodating food allergies or intolerances
  • Recruit and hire kitchen staff
  • Train staff in food preparation techniques
  • Lead kitchen personnel

Supervision:
  • Supervise up to 10 individuals

Certifications Required:
  • Safe Food Handling certificate
